Oregonians love to express their political and social views on the back of their vehicles. Especially on Subarus. I've been mentally compiling a list of some of my favorites, but of course now I can't think of them. I'll add to it when I wake up:

*There is a wide variety of anti-Bush bumper stickers driving around town but, even though I loathe the guy, I don't want to dirty up my pretty car with his crap. Besides, he's gone in two years and I don't want to have to be reminded of his reign.
**We don't have any bumper stickers on our new car. It's too pretty!
The video I have embedded in this post pretty much sums up why Jason and I turned around and went home halfway through our commute the other day during a snowstorm. Oregon drivers are idiots. They think they know how to drive in the ice and snow, but they don't. The home video shows a guy in an SUV going down a hill and intermittently slamming on his brakes and gunning the gas, neither of which will get you anywhere on an icy, snowy hill. I believe he hit 15 cars before he finally came to a stop (what does that do to your insurance?).
I also noticed a bunch of 2-wheel drive vehicles (i.e., Honda Civic, Nissan XTerra) with their chains on their rear wheels. That's not gonna help much.
