This is a few days old, but whatever. Sarah Silverman hosted the always over-hyped MTV Movie Awards this week where she ripped into Paris Hilton for her DUI and impending jail sentence. Paris was right there in the audience with a camera in her face. I have long held that Paris is a worthless human being and I get some wicked enjoyment out of watching as her feelings get hurt. I particularly enjoy the cutaways to Jack Nicholson, who is obviously gaining newfound respect for Silverman
Sometimes you just see weird things in Portland. This was so creepy that I had to pull over and take a photo. Too bad I didn't have the balls to walk right up to it and snap a photo. Those dolls are waist-high Barbies dressed as princesses and fairies. There are also a few Easter bunnies in the group.
This pet food recall is just horrible. Kidney failure is not a very peaceful way for an animal to die. So... here's a link to the latest list from the FDA of all the recalled dog and cat foods.
I know you love local news bloopers as much as I do. Tracy Jordan recently went on a morning news program in El Paso, TX to promote a comedy show he was doing there. He crazy!
Whoa. In the last week, my belly has really started to... show. I can't say it's "popping" quite yet because it just looks fat. It's not round and therefore not obviously pregnant. Earlier this week, I met with some people whom I have not seen since January and I noticed both of them were eyeing my belly but not saying anything. I'm in that is-she-fat-or-is-she-pregnant stage. I was a little uncomfortable with it at the beginning of this week, but I don't really care now. At the rate I'm going, it'll soon be pretty obvious to the whole world.
I hate, hate, hate when businesses ask me for my phone number. They're doing it to sell my number to a telemarketer- because they apparently didn't make enough money off me in one transaction. I ALWAYS tell the cashier 'no' when they ask for my phone number. Today, at Motherhood Maternity, I was buying a tank top to go under a very deep-cut maternity shirt (seriously, what is the deal?!?) and I told the woman 'no' when she asked for my phone number. So she got all up in my face about it! She wanted to know why I didn't want to give my number and when I told her it was because I don't want it sold to telemarketers, she fed me a line of crap that the company only asks for my phone number so they can call me in case I leave something at the store.
YEAH. RIGHT.
First of all, a woman working at a maternity store should know better than to get all up in the face of a pregnant woman because one of two things will most likely happen: either she'll cry or she'll get really, really pissed. Guess which one I did? (Despite the last entry, this experience did not elicit tears) I told her that I have the right to shop anonymously without being tracked by her company.
Do you give you phone number out when businesses ask? WHY?!?
"If you're not completely appalled, you're not paying attention."
